Overview
M&T Bank approached my team with a challenge of creating a scalable and personalized website that would cater to their diverse customer base. Our team was tasked with designing a new home page experience that aligned with M&T's newly branded voice and visual feel while providing targeted content for each customer segment.
Challenge
The challenge was to create a modular framework that could accommodate M&T Bank's various business units and provide targeted content for each customer segment. The website had to be easy to use and navigate, and it had to accurately reflect the M&T brand and core values. Our team had to consider the dynamic content being pulled in from customer type and user data, and we had to design an interaction that created a delightful experience that wove in the new M&T voice and feel.
Results
My team and I designed a new home page experience that aligned with M&T's newly branded voice and visual feel while providing targeted content for each customer segment. We created several versions of the new page, accounting for dynamic content being pulled in from both customer type and user data. Each main customer segment received targeted content most relevant to them, including variations on targeted marketing, specific M&T services, community and customer stories, and tailored resources and insights.
We designed home page components and modules that could be reused and reconfigured in a variety of ways across the site, allowing for rapid page building and deployment within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for a variety of M&T business units. Interaction designs were created for logins, warnings, search forms, and models, and transition and interaction animations were developed to create a more delightful experience that wove in the new M&T voice and feel.
The new website accurately reflects the M&T brand and core values, providing clear direction to easily navigate the site. Users can quickly access the information they need, click CTAs to complete a transaction, and connect with the right M&T person to help with the next steps. The website is approachable, engaging, and personalized for each unique user, thanks to the targeted content provided for each customer segment.
